I Think I Broke Grammar Check…

Aug 30, 2013 by

This is short but I just had to post this.

So I wrote the sentence: “Who knows what all it’s told you?” The it’s as in it has, which isn’t a proper contraction but is fine there ’cause  it’s the way people talk.

Anyway my word doc. put a blue line under it, meaning that it’s a word but not used right, telling me to use its instead, so I did. But then it immediately underlined it in green, meaning I need to fix my grammar (it didn’t recognize it as a word this time?), and this time told me to use it’s, so I changed it back.

But then it underlined it in blue again! It just can’t make up it’s mind! I have accidentally found a sentence so confusing to my poor word doc. that it keeps going in an endless loop.

Has that ever happened to anyone else?

P.S. I’ve never been more aware of how many times I use a form of its in a post…

P.P.S. I have no idea why it puts an ampersand in the title on the home page.
